Alternate Itineraries

Looking at the map of South Africa and Botswana, we realized that for a first time traveler to Southern Africa, there are many interesting safaris to choose from.

You can focus just on South Africa; fly into Johannesburg, then onto Kruger National Park for more classic-style safaris. In this scenario, you may want to end your safari either at a beach camp, like Rocktail, or go onto Victoria Falls before heading home.

Another alternative would be to focus on Botswana. You still need to fly into South Africa, but could fly into Johannesburg and then onto Maun. From Maun you can go to several camps in the Okavango Delta and if you like, still visit Victoria Falls before heading home.
