Monument Valley
The stunning buttes and mesas of this famous valley have been the backdrop for numerous films and TV shows. These vividly colored sandstone masterpieces tower at heights of 400 to 1,000 ft., surrounded by miles of shrubs, trees, and windblown sand.
The park is entirely contained within the Navajo Nation Reservation. Hiking is only allowed with a certified Navajo Guide – the only exception is the Wildcat Trail that begins at The View Hotel.
