Grand Circle Experience - Two Week Loop
This road tour will take you along the Southwest's complete "Grand Circle." Beginning and ending in Las Vegas, you’ll visit Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, and Monument Valley, ending with the most spectacular of all, the Grand Canyon.
(It is also possible to fly into Flagstaff, Arizona and rent an RV there. The route would be adjusted accordingly.)
Drive from Las Vegas to Zion National Park (155 miles).
Activities might include a horseback ride along the Virgin River, a hike of the Emerald Pools, or fishing.
Drive from Zion to Bryce Canyon (75 miles). Spend the rest of the day exploring Bryce Canyon National Park.
Activities might include horse riding or hiking.
Drive from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef (110 miles). This drive follows along Route 12, easily one of the most beautiful roads in the US. Spend the rest of the day exploring Capitol Reef National Park.
Drive from Capitol Reef to Arches National Park (153 miles). Spend the rest of the day exploring Arches.
Activities might include horse riding, hiking to one of the park’s many arches and scenic viewpoints, or a rafting trip on the Colorado River.
Drive to from Arches to Canyonlands National Park (approx. 40 miles). Spend the rest of the day exploring Canyonlands.
Activities might include a scenic flight, mountain biking, hiking, or boating on the flat waters of the rivers.
Drive to Monument Valley Tribal Park (approx 210 miles). The iconic red sandstone buttes of this famous valley have been the backdrop to many TV and movie westerns. The park is entirely contained within the Navajo Nation Reservation.
Drive from Monument Valley to the Grand Canyon (approx 180 miles). Spend the rest of the day exploring the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Activities might include a scenic air tour, a ride on the Grand Canyon Railway, a mule or horseback ride, day hikes along the canyon rim, whitewater rafting, or an overnight mule trip down to the river. You might also want to drive to the North Rim.
Return to Las Vegas (279 miles, approx. 6 hour drive).
