A Moscow landmark, this magnificent theater is home to one of the world’s oldest and most famous ballet companies. The Bolshoi reopened in Oct, 2011 after a six year, $730 million renovation. All of the original glory remains, but some improvements were made, including an enlarged orchestra pit (now one of the world's largest).
