Strategies
We've divided the city into neighborhoods or districts, so you can see all you wish to see in one area before moving on. We've included itineraries covering each area or neighboring areas, so you're not crisscrossing the city to see the sights.
Although walking in Paris is one of its greatest pleasures, we suggest that you balance walking vs. taking a car. Walk one day; the next day, travel by car to rest young legs.
Generally we like to visit museums in morning and break for lunch. We shop in the afternoon or go to a park to play, and then return to the hotel to shower and change for dinner.
Our typical day might look like:
10am - 1pm Museum
1 - 2:30pm Lunch
3 - 6pm Shop or outdoor activities with the kids
6:30 - 7pm Shower and change for dinner
7:30 or 8pm Dinner
We often arrange with our concierge or guide ahead of time for museum tickets. This is a great way to avoid long lines. Another strategy would be to purchase a Paris Pass. This pass admits you to most of the monuments and museums and you bypass the lines!
