topSeven-day Tour
You will arrive at the airport and meet your guide, who will drive you via private car to the Palmeraie (a large oasis a short distance from the city center), where your hotel is likely to be. Settle in and adjust to the new time zone. Eat dinner at the hotel, or get a head start on exploring Marrakech and enjoy a meal out.
Start your day with a refreshing swim in the pool or stroll through the gardens. In the afternoon, drive to the exotic medina quarter (old town) with your guide and shop the souks (open-air markets). Before returning to your hotel to relax in advance of dinner, stop by Place Djemâa el Fna to see the snake charmers, magicians and Chleuh dancing boys. As evening approaches, prepare yourself for a magical Moroccan feast at Dar El Yacout, a former private residence and now one of the country's most celebrated restaurants.
After breakfast, head for the Atlas Mountains and visit the Berber village of Imlil, exploring the surrounding foothills by bike or mule. Next, make your way to the poolside terrace or rooftop at Sir Richard Branson's Kasbah Tamadot resort for lunch. Stunning views, gorgeous gardens and spa treatments await you. Once back in Marrakech, enjoy a relaxing evening at your hotel. Room service anyone?
Discover the fascinating history and culture of Marrakech with tours of the Jardin Majorelle, Saâdian Tombs, Islamic Art Museum or 16th-century ruins of the Palais El-Badi. Afterwards, enjoy an entertaining lunch in the private salon of restaurant Ksar El Hamra – complete with magic show, acrobatic dancing and Gnawa musicians. Head back to the market in the afternoon for henna painting, and after a bit of down time at the hotel, enjoy dinner at Le Crystal.
From Marrakech, you will fly to the southeastern city of Errachidia. Once on the ground, transfer to a 4x4 for the journey to the desert town of Rissani and tour of Oulad Abdelhalim, one of the country's best preserved Kasbahs or fortresses. Break for lunch at Kasbah Asma before heading to the panoramic dunes of Merzouga for camel rides and sandboarding. As evening approaches, drive to camp for the night and enjoy dinner and entertainment featuring performances by local musicians.
Rise early to see the dramatic desert sunrise while eating breakfast at camp. Then go for more camel rides and sand boarding before making your way back to Errachidia for the return flight to Marrakech.
