topWhen to Book
Plan one year to 18 months in advance in order to book the boat, captain and crew of your choice.
topWhen to Go
The ideal time to sail Alaska’s Inside Passage is mid June through August. During this period you will enjoy the best weather, see the most wildlife and experience unlimited daylight–up to 18 hours near summer solstice.
topWeather & Temperature
The highest precipitation averages in the state make Southeast Alaska relatively temperate–and wet. So expect some rainfall, even in the summer. Temperatures at this time of year generally range from highs in the mid 60s to lows in the upper 40s. But it can feel cooler on the water.
