Special Offer: 12-day Namibia Safari
There’s no place in the world quite like Namibia. With the oldest desert and largest sand dunes on earth, its scenery is absolutely stunning – and with the world’s only population of desert rhino and desert elephant, it offers a unique game-viewing experience as well. This 12-day itinerary shows you the best of Namibia, from watching the sunset over 1,000-foot dunes, to interacting with one of Africa’s last nomadic tribes, to game drives in the wildlife-rich Etosha National Park. You’ll stay at some of our very favorite camps, notable for their privacy, remoteness, direct access to the local attractions, and breathtaking surroundings.

Days 1 to 3
Fly from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. 3 days of exploring the towering dunes on early morning excursions, guided nature drives and walks. You also have the option of taking a balloon safari over the dunes, ending with a champagne breakfast. Overnight at Little Kulala, by far the most luxurious camp in the area, with 11 rooms all offering magnificent views, private plunge pools and rooftop star gazing beds.
Days 4 to 6
Fly up to the Skeleton Coast for 3 days of exploring this dramatic and pristine wilderness. Here the Atlantic Ocean crashes onto a shoreline littered by shipwrecks, where seals congregate in colonies of thousands, against a backdrop of sand dunes taller than skyscrapers. The game viewing here is unrivalled, featuring desert elephants, lions, flamingos and jackals. Overnight at the Skeleton Coast Camp, a wonderfully exclusive camp in a strikingly beautiful landscape.
Days 7 to 9
Fly up to the far north of the country to secluded Serra Cafema, nestled on the banks of the magical Kunene River. This is one of the very best camps in the whole of Africa – the scenery here is absolutely out of this world. Enjoy 3 days of traversing the sand dunes in 4x4 Land Rovers, boating on the Kunene River, walking in the remote mountain and river valleys, and taking guided quad-bike excursions that tread lightly on the dunes. Serra Cafema shares this region with the wonderful and colorful Himba people who are some of the last true nomadic people of Africa.
Days 10 to 12
Fly into Etosha for your final 3 nights of game viewing from Little Ongava. These are the finest accommodations in Etosha, with just three fantastically luxurious rooms, along with the area’s most impressive views. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into Etosha, where Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Springbok, and Hartebeest can be seen at many of the waterholes in the park. A hide at the camp provides superb photographic opportunities.
You’ll also have access to the private 30,000 hectare Ongava Reserve. One of the joys of this reserve is its resident White and Black Rhino – guests staying at Little Ongava have the opportunity to see both species, which may be tracked on foot. Night drives are possible on the reserve as well.
