Shanghai Masters of Food & Wine
Dear Members,
For me, one of the biggest joys of global travel is seeking out incredible cuisine and newsworthy chefs in each destination. But sometimes the chefs make it easier by coming together in one place. Since 1986, Park Hyatt hotels have been hosting five-day celebrations of food and wine at their properties around the world—and their Shanghai Masters of Food & Wine Festival is now an annual event. This November, 2-star Michelin Chef Nicolas Stamm and 3-Star Michelin Chef Marc Haeberlin will join regional Chinese master chefs and renowned wine experts for this gastronomic fête, featuring wine tastings, gala dinners, and workshops.
To help you get the most out of this celebration, our partner Imperial Tours has put together a special, private itinerary that lets you enjoy the highlights of glamorous Shanghai as well as a well-chosen sampling of Masters events. You’ll get informative guided tours of the colonial district, the Shanghai Museum and the city’s best shopping districts. Your food and wine experiences include a class on tableware styling by Ms. Chantal Wittman-Best Craftman of France; a floral design class by Philippe Heaty, a French Master Florist, and Emily Zhou, Master Florist at Park Hyatt; and a Gala Dinner prepared by Chef Stamm and Chef Haeberlin.

To complete your immersion in the arts of cuisine and entertaining, you’ll travel next to magical, romantic Hangzhou. Here, you’ll take a guided tour of the tea fields, learn about tea cultivation, and enjoy a tea tasting—you’ll also visit an exclusive club to learn about the ancient Five Disciplines: tea, incense, flower arrangement, music and calligraphy. Imperial Tours offers a range of other cultural experiences in both cities—just ask.
